Hayley Group Limited are looking for an experienced Internal Legal Counsel to join our well-established and experienced team at our headquarters in Halesowen. The candidate will provide commercial legal advice and support on a range of issues, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations while minimising risk to the company. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary.

Responsibilities for our Internal Legal Counsel will include:

Lead on a variety of legal matters, with the primary focus on customer and strategic supplier agreements and standard terms.

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.

Conduct legal research and analyse complex legal issues.

Represent the company in negotiations and legal proceedings as necessary.

Monitor changes in legislation and industry regulations and advise the Board and relevant parties accordingly.

Skills & Attributes we’re looking for in our Internal Legal Counsel:

Well-versed in legal terminology and operations

Experience drafting legal documents 

Strong understanding of commercial law

Critical thinking and multitasking abilities

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to interpret legal terms to all audiences

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

Experience drafting legal documents 

Minimum 7 years’ experience in similar role

Bachelors degree in Law or related field

Ability to work with others and independently 

Knowledge of internal and external business practices and operations
