Position: Supply SEN Teacher
Day rate: £120 - £150
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Supply SEN Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will provide temporary teaching coverage to students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), aged 3-19, in our school. The role will involve working closely with students, their families, and other professionals to ensure continuity of education during teacher absences.

£130 - £150 daily rateKey Responsibilities:
Teaching and Learning:
Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that cater to the diverse needs of SEN students aged 3-19, following the established IEPs and teaching plans.
Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to support student learning and development, including assistive technology and sensory aids.
Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of each student, considering their age, developmental level, and specific SEN.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback, ensuring continuity of learning during teacher absences.Individualised Education Plans (IEPs):
Familiarize yourself with the IEPs of the students you will be teaching and ensure that they are followed during your time in the classroom.
Support students in achieving their IEP goals and objectives, providing guidance and encouragement as needed.Collaboration and Communication:
Work effectively with the school's SEN team, including the SENCO, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists.
Communicate regularly with the class teacher and other relevant staff to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of education.
Build positive relationships with students, their families, and colleagues, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.Behavior Management:
Implement effective behaviour management strategies that are tailored to the needs of SEN students aged 3-19.
Support students in developing appropriate social and emotional skills, promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
Qualifications and Experience:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties, in a school serving students aged 3-19.
Knowledge of the National Curriculum and SEN Code of Practice, as well as relevant legislation pertaining to SEN education for students aged 3-19.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, including SENCOs, therapists, and other professionals.
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate.
Experience teaching in a Primary or Secondary school setting.
Enthusiastic, adaptable, and a strong communicator.
Able to build rapport with students of all ages and backgrounds.
