I'm looking for a Control Systems Engineer to join our client in Sudbury. This role will consist of being on the road from 30% - 50% of the time. In order to be considered, you must have experience in writing PLC programmes with either Siemens or Allen Bradley.

Responsibilities of this Control Systems Engineer role:

Coordinate and execute equipment start-ups, technical service calls, and related activities (including reports).
Design customer-specific control systems (both pneumatic and electric), including the creation of Bills of Materials and PLC programming. Typical I/O range: 6-13.
Conduct equipment and application testing as part of project execution.
Provide troubleshooting and technical support to both customers and in-house engineering/project teams.
Support project execution by specifying parts and liaising with suppliers.
Communicate with customers regarding their control system requirements.
Prepare site visit reports and maintain up-to-date in-house databases.
Contribute to proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements:

Basic mechanical skills with a general interest in mechanical systems and problem-solving.
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (30%-50% of the time).
Knowledge of electrical and pneumatic circuits.
Familiarity with PLC programming (Siemens or Allen Bradley preferred, training provided).
Ability to read AutoCAD drawings.
Proficient computer skills (AutoCAD and Microsoft Office are advantageous).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Technical know-how and ability to apply relevant codes to tasks and problem-solving.
Ability to work independently, guided by knowledge of equipment, company policies, and procedures.
Capable of initiating activity, managing multiple projects, and meeting targets.
Excellent interpersonal skills with an energetic and positive personality.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet time-sensitive targets.
Strong service orientation and actively seeks ways to assist customers and staff.
Full, clean driving license.Experience & Education:

HND / HNC in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent technical degree.
Experience in designing control systems
You must have experience in writing PLC programmes with either Siemens or Allen Bradley
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a technical role, ideally in machinery maintenance.

Paid Overtime which can take your earnings to £60,000+
