Waites Recruitment Consultancy are seeking an Experienced Civils Quantity Surveyor on a full time basis for a client based in Rochdale.

Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager

Reports directly to Director

Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager is responsible for:

All company commercial aspects, including raising applications / invoices, credit, payments, disputes

Responsibilities

* Vetting & responding to sub contract orders, minutes of meetings etc.

* Ensuring sufficient client credit is obtained, or satisfactory payment plan.

* Attending pre contract meetings

* Communicating with customer at key points before and during the works and obtaining customer consent on all Financial variations

* Raising applications / invoices, Vat receipts.

* Reviewing & resolving payment / payless notices.

* Reviewing & preparation of collateral warranty documents.

* Working with external accountant & internal system to ensure accurate cost reporting of the contracts

* Insurance queries

Requirements

* Understanding of Construction Contract Laws and good working knowledge of Forms of Contracts

* Multi-site project management skills

* BS degree or similar in Civil Engineering

* Good working knowledge of Foundations ideally, but not necessary.
