£416.65 - £430 per week
Working hours: 08:30am – 15:30pm
Start Date: 11th November 2024 – Temporary to permanent position following successful interview process!
The School and Role
Set in Chesterfield, this school specialises in the education of students who have education health care plans for SEMH or have been permanently or temporarily excluded from mainstream school, due to being disengaged from education. Needs of students may include social, emotional and mental health difficulties and SEND including ASD, ADHD, PDA and attachment disorders, through a holistic therapeutic approach. Students are provided a calm and supportive environment in which they can develop and learn within a safe environment. You will be surrounded by a fantastic team, who have an unquestionable passion for the education and development of young people.
Requirements
The desired Teaching Assistant will have;
At least 6 months experience in a SEMH, PRU setting, residential or youth work
Previous experience of working with behaviours that challenge is highly desirable
Emotional intelligence and the ability to react calmly in stressful situations.
Have a passion for supporting students and teachers, with the ability to work in small groups and on a 121/221 basis
The ability to work on initiative and proactively
Great communication skills, approachable and able to forge positive working relationships

Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system. (Daily rate is subject to your scale rate, experience in role and qualifications which will be discussed at the point of registration).
