Despatch Operative / Counterbalance Driver

Location: Swindon

Job Type: Temp - Perm

Salary: £13 per hour  

Working Hours: 10am - 6pm Monday - Friday

Our client based in Swindon are looking for a Despatch Operative/Counterbalance Driver to join their team. They are looking for a hard-working individual who can offer flexibility and commitment. This highly motivated individual will need to display a professional approach to their work and have a genuine ‘can do’ attitude towards their responsibilities. 

Key Responsibilities:

- Safely operate a counterbalance forklift to load and unload goods.

- Organize and manage despatch areas to ensure efficient order fulfillment.

- Process and manage stock records using Microsoft Word and Excel.

- Prepare and package products for dispatch, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.

- Collaborate with the warehouse team to maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

- Assist with inventory management and stock control.

- Coordinate with drivers and other departments to ensure timely deliveries.

- Perform general warehouse duties when required.

- Be flexible and available to work overtime when needed to meet business demands.

Requirements:

- Valid Counterbalance Forklift License 

- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

- Full UK Driving License Essential 

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to lift and move heavy items when needed.

- Flexibility to work overtime as required.

- Previous experience in a warehouse or despatch role is advantageous
