We’re looking for a Government Soft Landings Support (Project Support) to join our team.
Join our growing team of construction information specialists. This is a fantastic opportunity to be on the client side and to assist in maturing DWP Estates as an intelligent client working with some of the biggest names in the construction and FM industry.
You’ll be part of our Asset Information Management team, responsible for developing and assuring the requirements of our supply chain partners through a vast range of capital projects and operational FM related change.
Your team will be focused on assuring a golden thread of information which helps DWP better understand our estate and make better decisions.
The DWP Estates team manages accommodation for colleagues who support millions of daily customer interactions in Jobcentres and Health Assessment centres, centres of expertise, back office roles, and contact centres.
We manage a private sector supply chain that delivers essential estates, security and facilities services without which we cannot safely open our offices and serve our customers.
We make sure this huge and complex network operates effectively, and our team is committed to making DWP’s estate smaller, more adaptable, greener and better.
Job Description
* Support the Government Soft Landings Manager to provide the department with assurance on documentation and data.
* Supporting the assurance of DWP processes, procedures, and guides for DWP Estates Government Soft Landings approach.
* Ensuring that all relevant project protocols are issued to the Project Team, Design Teams and Sub-contractors and adhered to throughout the project and asset change life cycles.
* Responsible for the management of any handover documents to Facilities Management, record keeping of data or documents to Departmental and/or legal requirements as a minimum.
* Provide assurance report(s) on Facilities Management alignment to expectations on up keeping the golden thread of information management.
* Implementation of any agreed & governed process changes to workflows through continuous improvement mechanisms.
* Liaising with the client, designers, contractors throughout the project lifecycle to manage Master Information Delivery Plans (MIDP)s for projects, assuring adherence using the data available and reporting structures to highlight issues.
* Assure the GSL by attend project meetings when required to gain understanding of programme & project progress to ensure compliance.
* Responsible for co-ordinating and report development across GSL, this may extend to including data gathering and data analysis.
* Any additional tasks as requested which support the Government Soft Landings approach outlined by the line manager.
Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience
* Experience of working in the construction industry in the field of Design, Facilities Management, or Asset management.
* Experience in construction project workflows and processes.
* Understanding the benefits of a GSL approach in a project & practical knowledge of best practise.
* Running weekly reports and developing dashboards on a wide range of team responsibilities and/or reporting supply chain Key Performance Indicators / Service Level Agreements.
* Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage own workload through a proactive approach and self-motivation.
* Good communicating and effective influencing skills, both with colleagues, stakeholders and supply chain at all levels.

Location: You'll join us in one of our brilliant hubs in Birmingham, Blackpool, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle-upon-Tyne or Sheffield, whichever is most convenient for you.
Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.
Pay: We offer competitive pay from £37,497 to £38,373.
Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth up to £11,000.
