About the Role
Haringey Youth Justice Service remains part of the Children and Young People’s Directorate located within the Early Help, Prevention and SEND Division.
We are committed to work in a systemic way to prevent children and young people from offending and reoffending, to ensure that custody is the last option, and that children and young people are safe, secure and provided with supportive interventions that address the causes of offending behaviour.

About You
The ideal candidate will have some experience of managing within the Youth Justice Service and must hold a relevant qualification of social work and or criminal justice.
The candidate must have a deep knowledge and understanding of youth justice and children’s legislation and the ability to build strong working relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
The candidate will need to be a resilient and authoritative manager who places children and young people and their welfare at the heart of their practice. The candidate will oversee a team that manages complex cases, planning intervention and support in a timely manner and, always, making sure that children and young people’s voices are heard, positively influence practice, and recorded consistently.
This post will primarily manage the Out of Court Disposal Team (including Turnaround) and Parenting initiatives. In addition, there is a requirement for the post holder to case manage a small complex caseload (Post Court)
