Our warm and friendly school is excited to be adding to our team and as a result we are seeking a Teaching Assistant Apprentice to support our early years provision. You will be enrolled onto our Level 3 teaching assistant apprenticeship to support your career development.
Your contribution will ensure smooth delivery of; an excellent education to every child, in every classroom, every day.
You are somebody who has:
Motivation and enthusiasm to support early years within a school setting.
Understanding of pupil's learning needs, including SEND needs.
The skills to help students to develop independent learning skills.
Ability to deliver individual and small group targeted interventions.You are someone who'll be able to:
To take ownership of your apprenticeship training.
Complete the Level 3 Teaching Assistant Standard
If you don't have evidence of Maths and English GCSE C or above (or an equivalent) you will also need to complete a Level 2 functional skills programme as a part of the apprenticeship. The fees for this and the apprenticeship are fully covered by the levy and the ESFA at no cost to the learner.Training:
Your Trainer will meet with you in the workplace or online every 2-4 weeks. In between these meetings you will have dedicated time away from your job to work on the apprenticeship and collate evidence for your apprenticeship e-portfolio with ongoing support from your Manager and Trainer.
This is an exciting opportunity to be in a real job, with real variety, from day one whilst working towards a qualification. The successful candidate will have excellent people and communication skills and will be flexible to adapt to changing situations.
To be eligible for the Apprenticeship, applicants must have resided in the UK or EEA for 3 years prior to the start of the Apprenticeship. Please note: applicants must not have already completed a Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship.
This will be a fixed-term position and the duration of the apprenticeship will be determined by the job role and current skills. The typical duration of the apprenticeship is 21 months, however, can be longer or shorter depending on existing knowledge, skills and experience.
