Job Overview:
Swanstaff Ltd are seeking enthusiastic and responsible Recycling Operatives to join our client’s team based in Aston Clinton. As a Recycling Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Recycling Centre, providing excellent customer service, and promoting sustainable waste disposal practices. You will assist members of the public with their waste disposal and actively encourage the reuse and recycling of materials. Due to the location of the site, a valid driving license and personal vehicle may be required for some applicants.

Key Responsibilities:

* Safely and efficiently operate the Recycling Centre

* Direct and assist the public in correctly disposing of their waste

* Identify and separate reusable items in partnership with our charity partners

* Promote and encourage users to reuse items before recycling

* Conduct daily site inspections and record safety checks for equipment

* Ensure chargeable waste is properly identified

* Prevent unauthorised persons from disturbing, sorting, or removing waste from the site

Role Requirements:

* Previous experience in recycling, waste management, or a similar role is desirable, but not essential

* Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times

* Strong customer service skills and a courteous attitude towards clients, customers, and colleagues

* Reliable with good timekeeping

* Ability to work independently or as part of a team

* Flexible and able to work 5 days out of 7

* Must be able to work between 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
