Andy File Associates Limited are working as a recruitment agency on behalf of our client with regards this permanent vacancy.
Our client has grown to become one of the UK’s leading independent accounting practices, with nearly 100 partners and staff across three UK offices, in Sheffield, Northampton, and Doncaster.
The salary range for this role is depending on experience and stage of qualification would be £21,500 - £27,000. Our client would also support the successful candidate in the completion of their ACA/ ACCA exams. So, this role is paying £21,500 (for someone 1 year into their training contract) up to to £27,000 for someone who is in the final year of their training contract and who only has 1-2 exams left to pass.
The role would be:
* Reporting to an audit senior, supporting the firms audit managers and partners.
* Working with that audit senior on the planning, fieldwork and completion of audit assignments.
* Delegating and supervising work of more junior members of the team and reviewing their work.
* Progressing to an audit senior role in time where the candidate would be directly reporting to an audit manager.
* Regular communication with seniors, managers, partners and other staff.
* Preparation of annual statutory financial statements (from a complete client trial balance).
* Identify and understand client needs, suggest potential solutions on technical matters and communicate and agree client needs and potential solutions with managers.
* Preparation and/or review of corporate tax computation and return.
* Use of CCH Pro Audit for audit work and Digita for Financial Statements and Corporation Tax computations/returns.
* Ensure compliance with internal (audit methodology and risk management) and external (regulatory) requirements.
* Client base in a variety of sectors and sizes, giving our staff a wide level of experience.
