SEN Teaching Assistant (Part-Time Mornings)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:40 AM - 12:00 PM

About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child, who has recently started with us. The child has ADHD and exhibits defiant behaviour, requiring a dedicated 1:1 teaching assistant. The role involves working with the child on a reduced timetable (8:40 AM to 12:00 PM), supporting their learning and emotional needs in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide 1:1 support to the child, helping them to engage with the curriculum

* Implement strategies to manage ADHD and defiant behaviour

* Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to monitor progress

* Create a supportive and positive learning environment

* Assist the child with daily tasks and encourage their participation in class activities

Requirements:

* Experience working with children with ADHD or behavioural challenges

* Strong communication and behavioural management skills

* Ability to build rapport with children and staff

* Understanding of SEN best practices and approaches
