We are working closely with a mainstream secondary school in Wandsworth, committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for all students. The school prides themselves on fostering a culture of high expectations, respect, and academic excellence. As part of their commitment to student well-being, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join them.

Role Overview:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a key role in supporting students to overcome barriers to learning, promoting positive behaviour, and enabling them to achieve their full potential. Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and external agencies, you will provide tailored interventions, one-to-one mentoring, and group support to students who require additional guidance in managing their behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

Build positive relationships with students, acting as a role model and source of encouragement.
Develop and implement behaviour support plans in collaboration with staff and families.
Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring sessions to support students' emotional and social development.
Work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to identify students in need of support and monitor progress.
Manage challenging behaviour effectively and in line with school policies.
Support students in developing strategies for self-regulation and conflict resolution.
Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful school environment.
Keep accurate records of interventions and contribute to multi-agency meetings as required.About You:

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience working with young people, preferably in an educational or youth work setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students.
A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach to managing behaviour.
An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
A proactive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.Desirable:

Experience working with students with additional needs (e.g., SEND, SEMH).
