Job Title: Chef / Housekeeper

£11.80ph - £12.80ph
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Chef/Housekeeper to join our team in Ruislip. This dual role involves preparing nutritious breakfasts and maintaining a clean and safe environment in our care home. The ideal candidate will be attentive, organized, and sensitive to the needs of our elderly residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Chef Duties (8 AM – 11 AM):
* Prepare and serve breakfast, including cereals, toast, and hot drinks.
* Ensure meals meet dietary requirements and preferences of residents.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
Housekeeping Duties (11 AM – 4 PM):
* Perform daily cleaning tasks, including hoovering, dusting, and sanitizing all areas, including bathrooms.
* Conduct deep cleaning as needed to maintain high standards of hygiene.
* Assist with any necessary support related to cleaning up after residents, including managing urine, feces, and other bodily fluids in a compassionate and professional manner.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Some shifts may require full-day chef work (11 AM – 7 PM) or extended housekeeping shifts (8 AM – 4 PM).
* Collaborate with care staff to ensure a comfortable living environment for residents.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and hygienic workplace.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience as a chef and/or housekeeper, preferably in a care home or healthcare setting.
* Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
* Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and duties.
