Junior Quality Engineer

Location: Templecombe, Somerset

Salary: £25,000 to £27,000

An opportunity has opened for a Junior Quality Engineer to join a food manufacturing company based in Templecombe, Somerset. The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate within Food Science or similar and have a passion for working in the Food and Beverages industry. Alternatively, you will have some basic Quality experience within the food manufacturing industry and be looking to advance your career.

The company offer a generous amount of benefits including 25 days holiday + bank holidays, a good pension contribution and others.

What they’re looking for:

* Qualifications in Food Science or University degree in similar

* Any experience within food manufacturing would be a bonus

* Food quality experience would be beneficial

* Experience working in labs and using laboratory equipment

* Food product testing knowledge

* Chemistry knowledge would be a bonus

* Knowledge of quality compliance

Junior Quality Engineer Responsibilities:

* Working in the Quality team, ensuring the highest quality checks on food products

* Ensuring products are fully compliant to standards

* Working in a lab carrying out tests to ensure compliance

* Inputting data into the company ERP system

* Ensuring safety standards are met

* Driving continuous improvement with the rest of the team
