An award-winning firm of chartered accountants and tax advisors, with nearly 40 partners and over 500 employees, provides expert advice to entrepreneurs, fast-growing businesses, charities, and non-profit organisations both in the UK and internationally.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The role involves managing and assisting with audits for a diverse range of clients across various sectors. Candidates should have experience leading audits from planning through to completion, including supervising team members.
Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing accounting and auditing is essential to ensure compliance. Candidates are expected to be working towards ACA, ACCA, or an equivalent qualification. This client-facing role requires teamwork and the ability to meet deadlines.
Travel to client premises may be necessary, and flexibility in working hours is expected.
General Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality audit services using a bespoke risk-based approach.
Act as the senior auditor on engagements, responsible for planning and completing audit files, including drafting financial statements, management letters, and letters of representation.
Manage a team of up to five staff members, supervising and delegating tasks effectively.
Maintain regular communication with the audit manager regarding progress and provide recommendations for improving clients' accounting systems.
Evaluate team members' performance upon completion of assignments.
Candidate Profile
Work-Based Competencies:
- Part-qualified ACA or ACCA.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with electronic audit programs; familiarity with CaseWare is advantageous
