A leading organization in the electrical sector is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Electrical Buyer to take charge of sourcing and procurement operations. This role is crucial in managing supplier relationships, securing high-quality materials at competitive rates, and ensuring the smooth delivery of components and systems critical to the company’s projects.

The Senior Electrical Buyer will be responsible for formulating and executing procurement strategies that align with project timelines and financial objectives. They will work closely with engineering and project management teams to ensure technical requirements are met while negotiating favorable terms with suppliers. The role also involves monitoring market trends, managing inventory levels, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and reporting on procurement performance to senior leadership.

The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of five years’ experience in procurement, with a strong background in electrical systems or components. While a degree in electrical engineering, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred, equivalent supervisory experience in the electrical procurement field is equally valued. Key skills include contract negotiation, supplier management, and data analysis, alongside proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office. Strong communication skills and familiarity with industry regulations are essential.

This position offers a competitive salary of £45,000 to £55,000, plus travel allowances, performance-related bonuses, and additional benefits, including a company-matched retirement savings plan.
