Job Description:
A vibrant and well-established secondary school in Newham is seeking a passionate and dynamic Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join their dedicated team from January 2025. The school is committed to providing a stimulating learning environment where students are encouraged to develop a lifelong love of languages and cultural awareness. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach French, Spanish, or German at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential to teach at Key Stage 5 for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and effective MFL lessons in line with the schools curriculum.
Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where students feel confident to learn and use the target language.
Track and monitor students progress, providing feedback and interventions to support their development.
Encourage students to engage with language learning beyond the classroom, including extra-curricular opportunities.
Participate in school-wide initiatives, meetings, and professional development.
Collaborate with colleagues in the MFL department to ensure continuity and progression across key stages.
The Ideal Candidate:
A qualified teacher with a degree in French, Spanish, German, or a related field.
Experience teaching MFL at secondary school level (KS3, KS4).
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for language learning and cultural exchange.
A creative, engaging, and flexible teaching style.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
A commitment to the personal and academic development of all students.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively.
