2nd/3rd Line Technical Support Engineer

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:30pm

£30,000 - £36,000 Depending on Experience

Our client based in Peterborough is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join their small and friendly team.

We are seeking candidates who have experience of dealing with hardware and software issues and issues escalated from the wider team.

This role will be 70% office based and 30% travelling to client sites to resolve issues which cannot be resolved remotely.

What our client can offer you:

* Act as advisor and technical problem solver by being proactive in resolving escalated enquiries and issues

* Responding to technical issues via email and phone.

* Travel to customer sites as required to resolve any issues that can’t be fixed on a remote basis.

* Investigate, diagnose and resolve technical incidents and service requests, escalating where necessary.

* Work independently to high standards with little intervention or assistance.

* Adhere to SLA’s keeping users updated at all times.

What we are looking for:

* Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator.

* MTA: Networking, Security and Windows Server Administration Fundamental exams.

* Experience of working within a service desk environment for at least 2 years.

* Experience of working with a variety of clients.

* Previous experience in supporting and implementing client hardware and software.

* The ability to use, support and implement MS Office applications.

* Working knowledge and experience of Window Server, Windows Desktop, Microsoft Exchange, Hyper-V, Remote Desktop Service and Active Directory & Windows Operating Systems.

* A strong understanding of IT Networking principles.

* Good knowledge of VoIP Telephony.

* Advanced knowledge of mobile phone devices, both apple and android + hardware such as printers and Bluetooth.
