Production Manager (278jc) – Bristol – circa £40k
This recently established niche woodworking company who have a turnover of £750,000 and who have plans to double their size within the next 18 to 24 months are now seeking a Production Manager in this newly created key role.
DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.
You will be reporting to the Managing Director, and you will have a team of 8 highly qualified and experienced woodworkers as well as a 2-man installation team.
Therefore, your role will be to:
* Lead your team to produce high-quality timber products efficiently and effectively.
* Develop and implement management systems to enhance workflow and productivity.
* Continuously improve production workflows and maintain high quality standards.
* Foster a cohesive and motivated workshop environment which includes further team development and training.
* Oversee workshop supervisors and ensure optimal use of resources.
* Combine strong leadership skills with technical expertise in timber manufacturing.
* Maintain computer records and access computer records for the purpose of reviewing and managing stock levels, workshop instructions and other management activities.
To be eligible for this role you will need the following experience and skills:
* Experience in managing a workshop or similar manufacturing environment, ideally within timber production.
* Proven track record of staff management and implementing efficient production systems.
* Strong technical proficiency in timber materials, woodworking techniques, and manufacturing processes.
* Competent user of IT systems.
* Excellent leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
* Solid understanding of health and safety regulations related to woodworking.
* Very organised. Hard working. Quality focussed.
The ideal candidate would be someone who has a strong woodworking background who is able to step into an already established team and who has the ability to understand the Directors goals and who is able to implement process and procedures that will streamline the day-to-day operations of bespoke products to help achieve efficiency and at the same time maintain the highest quality standards.
