About the Role:
As a Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to primary school students, ensuring that each child reaches their full potential. Your ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment will be crucial in fostering both academic and personal growth.
Primary Teacher Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the national curriculum, tailored to the individual needs of students.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning and encourages student participation.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents and external agencies to support the holistic development of students.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and report regularly to parents and school leadership.
Foster a safe and supportive classroom atmosphere, ensuring the well-being of all students.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills and stay abreast of educational best practices.
Primary Teacher Job Requirements:
Must have teaching qualification such as QTS, or an equivalent.
Proven experience teaching at the primary level, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
A passion for education and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in young students.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a classroom effectively.
A proactive and reflective approach to teaching, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
