Primary Teacher
A Primary School based in PRESTON are looking to recruit a KS2 Primary Teacher to teach Year 5 from January 2025.
Note: this position is open to both Fully Qualified Teachers and Early Career Teachers.
Breakdown of details:
Rate of pay: £143-£196 (rates are competitive)
Working hours: 08:30 – 15:30
5 days a week
The School:
This is a small sing-form entry Primary School based in PRESTON (PR2). Rated ‘GOOD’ by their most recent Ofsted. Pupil behaviour is generally good across the whole school and the Year 5 class has 27 children in the class. There is also a general Teaching Assistant (level 3) in the class who will work co-operatively with you to help hand out materials and ensure pupils are working towards academic goals. They will also cover the class during your allocated PPA time.
The role:
As the Teacher of the Year 5 class for a term-long position, this role will include taking the responsibility of marking and preparing lessons for the class. To assist a smooth transition from the current Teacher, a learning and progress record for each pupil will be given, along with access to the shared school driver. This will offer a range of materials to help plan lessons.

A good knowledge of the KS2 curriculum

An appropriate understanding of safeguarding children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
