Key Responsibilities of a Hospital Secretary

Patient Interaction: Admitting patients and assisting them with forms and other administrative procedures.
Appointment Management: Scheduling and confirming medical appointments and procedures to ensure efficient patient flow.
Record Keeping: Recording and filing patients' information, including personal details, medical histories, and insurance information.
Billing and Insurance: Processing patient billing and assisting with medical insurance claims to ensure proper reimbursement.
Communication: Answering incoming phone calls and emails, accurately conveying messages, and dealing with inquiries from patients and staff.
Administrative Support: Taking minutes during meetings, arranging travel itineraries for medical staff, and managing diaries for healthcare professionals.
Inventory Management: Maintaining inventories of medical supplies and ordering supplies as necessary to support clinical operations.Data Management: Creating, updating, and managing spreadsheets and medical databases to keep track of important information

Working Hours:

o Band 3 - Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. Rate of pay is £11.67 per hour and will be paid on a weekly basis
