Key Responsibilities:

o Oversee the development and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring they are tailored to meet the specific needs of children, particularly those with autism and complex needs.
o Manage and monitor the home's budgets, ensuring financial sustainability while maintaining the quality of care.
o Ensure the home is a safe, positive, and supportive environment for all children, promoting independence, well-being, and personal development.
• Staff Management & Development:
o Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of care staff, ensuring they deliver high-quality care and support.
o Provide regular training, supervision, and professional development opportunities for staff to ensure they are equipped to support children with autism and other complex needs.
o Foster a culture of continuous improvement and a commitment to safeguarding children.
o Conduct performance appraisals and manage staff recruitment, retention, and performance issues as needed.
o Ensure effective communication with children, staff, and external stakeholders to ensure that care plans and goals are understood and achieved.

Qualifications & Experience:
• Essential:
o Registered Manager with experience in managing a children’s home, including responsibility for compliance and regulatory matters (Ofsted).

o Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent.
o Significant experience in a managerial role within a children’s residential setting, with a proven track record of leading and developing teams.
o Strong knowledge of safeguarding practices, child protection policies, and the ability to manage risk effectively.
o Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and support staff at all levels.
