The Role
As the Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with UK health & safety regulations, implementing best practices, and fostering a strong safety culture across multiple construction sites.
Key Responsibilities

Lead H&S initiatives across live construction sites.
*
Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations 2015, COSHH, Work at Height Regulations, and other key UK laws.
*
Conduct site audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
*
Provide training and guidance to site teams, subcontractors, and management.
*
Develop and maintain H&S documentation, including RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements).
*
Utilise HSE management software to track incidents, audits, and compliance.
Required Experience & Skills
*
Construction Site Experience: Previous UK construction safety management experience is essential.
*
Legal & Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK H&S laws, including the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, CDM 2015, COSHH, and RIDDOR.
*
High-Risk Activity Awareness: Experience with working at height, confined spaces, lifting operations, and hazardous materials.
*
Tech & Reporting: Familiarity with HSE management software such as Assure, HandsHQ, or SHE Software.
*
Leadership & Communication: Ability to train, mentor, and influence site managers and workers.
