Job Title: Outreach Tutor

Pay: £95-£125 per day

We're recruiting an Outreach Tutor to support students who are unable to access traditional classroom settings. This is a unique opportunity to provide tailored academic and pastoral support, helping pupils achieve their potential in a secure and nurturing off-site learning environment.
Role Overview
The Outreach Tutor will:
Support students with their educational and emotional needs at pre-planned, off-site locations.
Facilitate their virtual learning programmes and ensure they are prepared for lessons.
Create a safe, stimulating environment while building positive relationships with students who may face barriers to education.
Provide effective pastoral care to promote social, emotional, and academic progress.
Engage in extracurricular activities to contribute to the wider school community.
Key Responsibilities
Promoting Progress: Help students reflect on their learning, maintain a positive outlook, and meet agreed goals.
Behaviour Management: Foster good behaviour for learning through clear expectations and positive reinforcement.
Professional Development: Attend training, participate in performance appraisals, and actively seek opportunities to improve.
Communication: Build strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and the school team to support student success.
Person Specification
Essential Skills:
Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEMH or additional needs.
Ability to adapt learning environments to meet individual needs and break down barriers to engagement.
A caring, creative, and flexible approach to teaching.Desirable Qualifications:
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
Youth work or related qualifications.Personal Qualities:
Resilient, patient, and empathetic.
Organised and proactive with a commitment to safeguarding children.
