My Client a mult-national retail business based in Havant are looking for a senior finance business partner to join their growing finance team.

This role will support the wider business with in depth analysis to enable the board to make key business decisions and understand the impact of strategies on the financial results.

Competencies and experience

* Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or QBE having worked within a smiliar role

* A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Finance Business Partner, Financial Planning Analyst or similar position.

* Experience in working in a rapidly changing environment and comfortable proposing, justifying, initiating, and implementing change

* Experience working with PowerBI desirable

* Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.

* An analytical mindset with excellent organisational skills.Strong commercial acumen

* Adaptable communication style

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Business Partner stakeholders to understand their requirements, ensure information is accurately reflected and provide insight into financial management, future initiatives and strategic direction.

* Analyse data and deliver information in a clear and user-friendly manner is critical

* Strike the right balance between supportive and challenging

* Analytical and inquisitive mindset

* Identify the risks and opportunities to PBT (profit before tax) and ensure these are reflected in the forecasts

* Liaise with different stakeholders to understand the bigger picture

* Provide insight and analysis that links financial reports to business strategies

* Look for ways to continually improve reporting, business performance and business partnering

* Aid in the annual budget process and monthly forecasting from a financial perspective.

* Project prioritisation including investment appraisal, business cases, cost benefit analysis and benefit tracking

* Partnering with the Data team to ensure reporting accurately reflects the management accounts and that support building reports for the needs of the business

* Understand how margin works from intake margin to net margin at a product level and total business level.
