SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Barnstaple
Pay: Dependant on experience
Job Type: Full-time and Part-time roles available

Are you passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our schools in Barnstaple. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available to suit your schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting students with SEND on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
Assisting teachers in creating an inclusive learning environment
Implementing personalised learning plans to meet individual needs
Encouraging student engagement and fostering their independence
Helping manage behaviour and promoting positive social interactions
Working closely with other staff and professionals to provide the best support

Requirements:

Previous experience working with SEND students is highly desirable
Patience, empathy, and a passion for making a difference in children’s lives
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility and the ability to adapt to the changing needs of students
