Astute's Renewables team is proudly partnering with a very well respected business in the residential and commercial solar market who're looking for a Senior Electrician / Solar Electrician to join the team. The Senior Electrician / Solar Electrician role comes with a salary dependant on your level, but likely between £38,000 to £45,000 and comes with an excellent benefits package and company van.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Operations Director you will:

Lead solar PV install projects, on site, across the country, staying away when required
Ensure that the sites comply with HSE legislation
Inspect the completed installations and snag any problems or issues
Provide quality assurance as the Senior Electrician
Lead on the physical install of the modules and inverters
Maintain accurate records and documentation on each job
Be involved in higher level conversations and decisions with the Operations Director and management function, advising from a site point of view
Staying away from home, across the UK, as and when required

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

Ideally, a minimum of 5 years experience as a certified Electrician and registered with NICEIC or NAPIT
Experience in solar installation, ideally commercial scale and size
Level 3 qualified Electrician
Experience with Solaredge technology is a huge advantage
ECS card is desirable
Management/Supervisory experience of a team is required
