Job Title: Property Maintenance Officer
Location: Crewe
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £13.50 per hour
Expected Hours: 40 per week
Job Purpose
To ensure the Property Maintenance Business provides high-quality maintenance services to customers and the community.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Plumbing Work:
Fitting and replacing waste pipe systems, changing sink waste traps, kitchen and bathroom taps, fitting isolators, swapping toilets, baths, and sinks out, and fitting bars and electrical showers.
Joinery Work:
Fitting doors, cutting for locks, latches, and hinges, replacing broken handles and hinges and latches, including door closers, fitting architrave, and skirting boards.
Painting and Decorating:
Prepping and painting walls, woodwork, doors, and ceilings.
Fitting wallpaper and general decorations.
General Maintenance:
Safely use all power tools.
Swapping out broken glazed units or broken window hinge mechanisms.
Assisting in fitting kitchens and bathrooms.
Fitting ceramic tiling and laying laminate flooring.
Fixing and altering door locks and adjusting door mechanisms.
Silicone neatly around sinks and baths.
Working safely on ladders at low levels and up to top gutter heights.
Diagnose electrical faults safely.
Getting cold radiators working, swapping out valves and replacing radiators.
Safely repressurise boiler systems.
Replacing sockets, switches, light fittings, and bulbs safely.
Fitting roller and vertical blinds, fitting and replacing curtain poles.
Customer and Administrative Support:
Prepare customer prices/quotations, agreement terms, method statements, and all trading conditions.
Help the Manager to maintain, nurture, and grow existing customer accounts.
Effectively liaise with multiple business areas, including sourcing new suppliers for material, marketing, controlling and monitoring inventory, etc.
Producing reports and completing other administrative tasks according to agreed procedures and timescales.
Providing excellent after-sales/project service to customers as a marketing strategy.
Other Duties
Represent the business at trade fairs where necessary.

Ensure you follow safe work practices and policies.
Discussing maintenance concerns with customers and communicating these to the SE Manager.
