Project Engineer - Material Handling / Automation

Project Engineer / Project Manager sought to join a leading provider of configurable robotic solutions & bespoke factory automation systems. A project background in special purpose machinery, packaging machinery, food processing machinery, materials handling equipment, machine tools or automation / automated machinery would be ideal. You must already live in the Birmingham area.

A solid project management background in engineering or manufacturing is essential. Your project management background may be in special purpose machinery or a sector such as medical, automotive or the food industry as these are the sectors the company works.

The Role

The purpose is to manage projects from scoping & specification with customer, design phase, equipment build, testing, installation and hand over - you should therefore have experience of this nature.
You will manage project budgets ranging from £50k-£2m
Manage projects from initial concept through to completion, ensuring customer's orders, are designed, built, and delivered on time, within budget, to meet the customer's high expectations.
Plan, organize and manage customer meetings and design reviews.
Generate project budget
Be fully involved in the machine-building phase
Retain project ownership beyond the delivery phase into the warranty and after-sales phase.

The Package

Salary £40K-47K
08:00 - 16:30 Monday to Thursday & 08:00 - 13:30 Friday
25 days holiday plus statutory days
