Job Description – IPAF Operator

Responsibilities:

*

Operate MEWPs, including scissor lifts, boom lifts, and cherry pickers, in compliance with health and safety regulations.

*

Conduct pre-use checks and routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.

*

Follow site safety procedures and risk assessments while working at heights.

*

Assist in setting up and dismantling access equipment as required.

*

Work closely with site supervisors and team members to complete tasks efficiently.

*

Report any faults, defects, or safety concerns regarding equipment.

*

Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including the use of PPE.

Requirements:

*

Valid IPAF certification (categories such as 3a, 3b, or 1b depending on job requirements).

*

Experience operating MEWPs in construction, maintenance, or industrial environments.

*

Knowledge of workplace safety standards and risk assessments.

*

Ability to work at heights confidently and safely.

*

Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.

*

CSCS card (preferred but not always required).

*

Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks when needed.

Working Conditions:

*

Outdoor and indoor environments, depending on the project.

*

Exposure to varying weather conditions.

*

Work may involve long hours, including weekends and night shifts, depending on site requirement
