Zachary Daniels Recruitment are seeking an high performing E-Commerce Director to lead our clients digital product and e-commerce operations, based near Manchester. This senior role requires a some heavy lifting from a results-driven individual, proven in eCommerce trading, digital product, and technology management. You will work at the intersection of eCommerce strategy and hands-on operations, focusing on optimising and refining existing systems and processes for maximum efficiency and growth. This is a perfect role for someone offering a blended skill set, motivated by day to day trading!
eCommerce Director Responsibilities:

eCommerce Trading & Strategy: Drive eCommerce revenue and growth, oversee daily trading activities, monitor KPIs, and adjust strategies to optimize sales and conversion. Full accountability of online P&L, influencing trading teams to provide the right stock levels.
Digital Marketing: Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute data-driven digital marketing campaigns, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, and brand loyalty.
Product & Tech Oversight: Partner with product, tech, and development teams to implement and improve tech-driven solutions that enhance user experience, site functionality, and digital sales.
Systems Optimisation: Identify, evaluate, and streamline current systems and processes, focusing on automation, efficiency, and long-term scalability.
Team Leadership & Development: Lead a large, diverse team, fostering a high-performance culture with a strong emphasis on upskilling and development. Ensure that teams are motivated, well-supported, and aligned with business goals.
Performance Analysis: Regularly review and analyse eCommerce performance data, utilizing insights to optimize the customer journey, pricing strategy, and marketing effectiveness.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams to align on priorities, resources, and business objectives.Required Skills and Experience:

Proven Senior Leadership: A minimum of 7+ years of experience in eCommerce and digital marketing within retail, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role.
Large Team Management: Demonstrated experience managing and scaling large teams, with a focus on mentorship and upskilling.
Tech & Digital Product Expertise: Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms, CMS, analytics tools, and other digital technologies. Hands-on experience with systems optimisation is essential.
Commercial Acumen: Deep knowledge of eCommerce trading, digital marketing principles, and product development, with a sharp eye for trends, metrics, and ROI.
Adaptability in Fast-Paced Environments: Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Continuous Improvement Mindset: Passionate about improving current systems and processes, with a strong focus on efficiency and scalability.
Customer -Centric Mindset - The ECommerce Director will champion a customer first approach, ensuring that all eCommerce strategies and digital initatives enhance the user experience and meet evolving customer needsAbout You:
