NexGen Consultancy LTD are currently recruiting for CNC Miller Programmer, Setter, Operator to join a growing business located in Letchworth.

Our client's modern and proficient production department is looking for a senior operator / setter, programmer to work on their 4 axis Doosan CNC VMC’s. This role involves the manufacture of high and low volume, repeatable parts of various sizes with an emphasis on output, improved quality, and efficiency. Supervision and leadership of varying skilled staff will also be part of this role.

Hours of work: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

· Programming, setting 4 axis VMC with Fanuc control.

· Programming robotic loading systems (training provided).

· Defining and demonstrating best method machining principles.

· Documenting methods, tooling and creating set up sheets.

· Supervising machine operators and being the point of contact for the production department.

· Maintain a clean and organised working environment.

· CAM Milling Programming generation (ideally familiar with Fusion360) with ability and confidence to post out to each machine.

· Liaising with Operations Manager to determine the distribution of work whilst aiding the most efficiency.

Requirements:

· Experienced with a thorough understanding of CNC programming using Fanuc control.

· The ability to review and update current processes and problem solve.

· Excellent knowledge of how to read and interpret engineering drawings.

· Experience with Fusion 360 or similar CAD and CAM applications.

· Follow instructions and maintain and update records (job sheets / setup sheets / general information).

· Demonstrable supervisory experience within a CNC machining and production environment.

· The ability to use measuring equipment with good accuracy.

· Have a can-do attitude and work well with and assist others in a team environment.

· A flexible approach to working hours when required to suit production demand.

· Performs work by following the company's processes and operating standards.

· Regularly inspects machines for mechanical and safety issues.

· Ensure machines remain well-stocked, tooled, and checked for errors to reduce interruptions and downtime
