Some of these students will be working towards qualifications (functional skills – Maths and English & Ascentis). We need some one who is organised, punctual and adaptable. They will be Monday to Thursday, Friday potentially

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Teacher/Lecturer to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students. This role involves educating and mentoring children, utilising various teaching methods to engage students in their learning journey. The Teacher will be responsible for creating lesson plans, delivering instruction, and assessing student progress in accordance with the curriculum.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students
* Utilise behaviour management techniques to maintain a positive classroom environment.
* Provide tutoring and mentoring to students who require additional support.
* Assess and evaluate student performance through regular testing and feedback.
* Foster a nurturing atmosphere that encourages personal growth and development among students.
* Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support student learning and well-being.
* Incorporate Applied Behaviour Analysis strategies when necessary to assist students with special educational needs.
* Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour.
Skills
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to students, parents, and colleagues.
* Strong background in Physical Education, Maths, or related subjects.
* Experience in mentoring or tutoring young adults in an educational setting.
* Knowledge of childcare practices and principles for students working towards functional skills qualifications
* Proficient in behaviour management techniques to handle classroom dynamics effectively
