Contek Recruitment are currently exclusively working with a precision engineering client, based in Tamworth, West Midlands. They are currently approaching a busy period and are now looking for a Machine Shop Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.

Our client specialise in the manufacture of precision parts and components for the Defence, Nuclear, and Aerospace industries.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday (07:45am until 16:15pm) and Friday (07:45am until 15:15pm)

Pay: £13-15 per hour, dependent on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Helping out around the workshop, assisting machinists with anything that they need.

* Basic assembly of metal components.

* Emptying swarf containers.

* Topping up fluids and coolants for the machinery.

* Keeping the workshop in a clean and tidy state.

Requirements:

* Previous experience working within an Engineering or Manufacturing environment is preferred.

* Previous experience working with metal parts is preferred.

* Ability to commute to Tamworth is required
