Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Gardener to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves caring for gardens and outdoor spaces, ensuring they are healthy, vibrant, and aesthetically pleasing. The Gardener will work with various tools and equipment to maintain the grounds effectively.
Duties:
- Cultivate and maintain garden beds, including planting, watering, and fertilising plants.
- Irrigate gardens using appropriate techniques to ensure optimal growth.
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and weeding.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently for various gardening tasks.
- Monitor plant health and identify any issues such as pests or diseases, implementing solutions as necessary.
- Assist in the design and layout of new garden areas or improvements to existing landscapes.
- Maintain cleanliness of tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Experience:
- Proven experience in gardening or groundskeeping is essential.
- Familiarity with various plants, their care requirements, and growth patterns is advantageous.
- Experience using power tools and hand tools related to gardening tasks is required.
- A strong work ethic with attention to detail and a commitment to quality in all tasks undertaken.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in an outdoor environment.
