Lettings Agent
Location: Hatfield Town Centre (Parking provided)
Salary: £23,000 – £25,000 basic (depending on experience) + commission
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are currently recruiting for a Lettings Agent (also known as a Lettings Negotiator, Property Consultant, or Rental Agent) on behalf of a well-established independent lettings agency in Hatfield. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with a passion for property and great people skills to join a supportive and professional team.

As a Lettings Agent, you’ll play a key role in managing the lettings process – from conducting viewings to handling tenancy administration and delivering top-notch service to both landlords and tenants.

Key Responsibilities:

Accompanying prospective tenants on property viewings as a Lettings Agent or Lettings Negotiator

*

Responding to and generating viewings from portal enquiries

*

Conducting property inspections and producing condition reports

*

Liaising with landlords and tenants to coordinate maintenance and resolve issues

*

Managing end-of-tenancy checkouts, including dilapidation reports

*

Arranging required property safety certificates and ensuring compliance

*

Performing general administration duties and keeping records up to date

*

Pre-qualifying rental applicants before referencing

*

Supporting marketing efforts and contributing to new business development

Requirements:

Whether you’re an experienced Rental Agent, Property Consultant, or someone with transferable skills looking to step into a lettings role, we’d love to hear from you. Ideally, you will have:

Your own vehicle, insured for business use

Strong computer and administrative skills

Excellent customer service and communication abilities

*

A smart, professional appearance and approach

Working Hours:

*

Monday to Friday: 9:00am – 6:00pm

*

1 in 3 Saturdays: 9:00am – 4:00pm (on a rota basis)
