I am currently working with a school in Cardiff to recruit for a Design and Technology teacher specialising in product design. The school set high standards with excellent facilities to encourage the pupils to thrive and achieve their best. The leadership team have a clear vision which is communicated well to all levels of staffing to create a welcoming and inclusive ethos.
Your new role
Starting in January, you will be a full-time teacher dealing with a range of lessons and specialising in Product Design and currently hold or be willing to renew a safety certificate such as DATA.You will have responsibilities such as:
Teach KS3 - KS4
Nurture a range of learning abilities
Staff meetings
Parent's evenings,
Pastoral responsibilities,
Planning and preparation of lessons, marking and assessment
What you'll need to succeed
Qualified teaching Status or PCET with secondary school experience
Experience of teaching Engineering and Product Design
Proven track record of helping students
Strong classroom management skills
Registered with the Education Workforce Council
Hold a DBS check on the update service or be willing to obtain one
