We are looking for an experienced Production Team Manager to join our operation, In this role, you will lead a team in a fast-paced food production environment, ensuring results are achieved through strong leadership, coaching, and development. You will manage people, equipment, and processes to meet key site metrics and improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, motivate, and coach team members to meet role expectations and achieve high performance.
* Challenge and inspire the team to meet production targets while maintaining high standards.
* Monitor and provide regular feedback on team performance, identifying skill development and improvement areas.
* Ensure production aligns with planned targets, optimising labour and resources.
* Take responsibility for key metrics, including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), waste reduction, downtime, and efficiency.
* Maintain accurate records using systems such as Autostore, Workday, SAP, and Absence Manager.
* Ensure effective communication between shifts, teams, and departments, using structured escalation processes.
* Foster a customer-focused approach, continually seeking ways to improve both internal and external customer satisfaction.
* Identify opportunities to reduce costs and enhance efficiency across operations.
* Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems and uphold hygiene audit standards.
* Take ownership of documentation accuracy and resolve issues related to staffing, production, or equipment.
Essential Qualifications:
* Proven leadership experience with a track record of driving performance through high standards, integrity, and leading by example.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead, challenge, and inspire a team to improve efficiency and standards.
* Management experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally in FMCG.
* Experience working in a Lean manufacturing environment.
* Demonstrated success in empowering, motivating, and influencing teams to achieve goals.
* Ability to develop and coach team members to achieve excellence.
