The role
Managing a team of engineers, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the manufacturing site, responsibilities will include minimising machinery downtime, improving performance: this can involve optimising processes, implementing upgrades, or using data-driven approaches to identify areas for improvement, keeping the engineering team engaged and motivated, coordinating maintenance priorities with the maintenance team and have a hands-on approach.
The person
Our ideal candidate will either be an experienced engineering manager or an ambitious engineer looking for that first step into management. Previous experience within a food manufacturing environment will be advantageous. You will have a solid understanding of operation/function and repair of all machinery on site and plant and associated equipment. Along with excellent communication skills, assertiveness with the ability to make decisions on the spot, a can do attitude and a strong work ethic.
