About the Role:
Supply Desk is excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a passionate and qualified Geography and History Teacher to join a thriving mixed secondary school near Andover from January 2025 on a two-term contract running until July 2025. This role provides the chance to make a real impact on students’ learning across both subjects, in a supportive and dynamic teaching environment. There is also the potential for the position to become permanent for the right candidate.
As a Geography and History Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, ensuring students develop a deep understanding of both subjects. You’ll work closely with the humanities team to support student progress, maintain excellent classroom management, and contribute to the school’s inclusive and inspiring learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging Geography and History lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4
Ensure the delivery of a high-quality, challenging curriculum for both subjects
Maintain effective classroom management and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all students
Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the Geography and History curriculum
Support students in their academic and personal development, fostering their love for both subjects
Monitor and assess student progress and provide feedback to ensure continued development
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have recent experience teaching Geography and/or History in UK secondary schools
Be committed to delivering high-quality lessons and supporting student progress
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and a passion for both subjects
Be adaptable and able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Possess strong communication skills and a positive, student-centered approach
Be confident in creating a supportive and engaging classroom atmosphere
Be eager to contribute to the development of the Geography and History curriculum
