Wasco UK is based in Hartlepool and specialises in protective coatings for oil and gas pipelines. We are looking to appoint a Material Controller, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager. The role is to be employed on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities of the role:

A semi-skilled member of the maintenance team responsible for ensuring safe, efficient and effective maintenance activities of the UK plant. Working in accordance with safe systems of work and quality assurance standards and working alongside mechanical and electrical technicians.

Duties/Tasks: • To work in accordance with all company procedures, company policy and site rules. • Understanding and awareness of permit to work systems. • General housekeeping duties • General labouring duties alongside engineering personnel • Manual handling • Operation of hand tools, grinding, drilling, etc. HSE Elements: • Safe maintenance operations of the plant and ancillary equipment. • Being fully conversant and compliant at all times with company HSE management system requirements. • Understanding the Company HSE policy, HSE role within the organization
