We are seeking a Secondary Special Needs Assistant to join a vibrant and nurturing secondary special needs school in Croydon, London. Key Details: Special Needs Assistant

* Start Date: September 2025

* Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM

* Contract: Fixed term for one academic year (with potential to transition to permanent staff)

* Pay: £400 to £600 per week (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Responsibilities: Special Needs Assistant

* Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with autism and complex needs

* Assist in delivering tailored learning activities and life skills development

* Support students in managing sensory, communication, and behavioural challenges

* Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure each student progresses

* Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements: Special Needs Assistant

* Experience working with children or young people with autism and complex needs

* Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to supporting diverse learners

* Strong communication and teamwork skills

* A proactive, resilient, and adaptable attitude

* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare

Desirable: Special Needs Assistant

* Knowledge of autism-specific strategies, such as TEACCH, PECS, or sensory integration techniques

* Experience in a special needs school or educational setting
