A Major Education establishment is seeking a skilled IT Field Engineer to look after their operating systems for both PC and Server. as well as experience in managing Microsoft 365 environments. This role involves on-site support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems for our clients, and requires travel to various school sites. Flexible working hours may be necessary to accommodate IT-related emergencies or maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting for Windows operating systems (PC and server).

* Manage and administer Microsoft 365 environments, including user accounts, email, and collaboration tools.

* Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems.

* Conduct regular system maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance.

* Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to network connectivity, hardware, and software.

* Collaborate with sites to understand their IT needs and provide tailored solutions.

* Maintain accurate documentation of site systems, issues, and solutions provided.

* Travel to various school sites as required for support and maintenance.

* Work flexible hours as necessary to address IT-related emergencies and maintenance.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

* Minimum of 12 months of experience in IT field engineering or a related role.

* Good knowledge of Windows operating systems for both PCs and servers.

* Experience in managing Microsoft 365 environments

* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

* Experience working in a school setting is highly desirable.

* Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Microsoft 365 Certified) are a plus.
