Summary:
Are you a driven Transport Manager with a passion for logistics and a flare for business development? We are seeking a proactive Transport Manager to lead and optimise transport operations while actively pursuing new business opportunities within a growing logistics business. This unique role combines operational expertise with business development, ideal for someone ready to expand their impact within a dynamic logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage day-to-day transport operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
Develop and implement transport strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Actively seek and identify new business opportunities, building strong relationships with potential customers.
Manage and lead a team of transport planners and drivers, promoting best practices and safety standards.
Analyse transport data and produce reports to support decision-making and performance improvements.
Negotiate contracts and build partnerships with suppliers and stakeholders.
Key skills / experience:

Proven experience as a Transport Manager, ideally within a 3rd party logistics environment.
Strong knowledge of transport regulations, compliance, and best practices.
CPC qualification.
Previous experience in business development and an existing network of industry contacts is desirable.
Effective team management and leadership skills.
Commercially driven, with an analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.
