Asset/Repairs Manager

Job Type: Temporary (2-5 days per week)
Salary: Competitive (based on experience)We are a small, community-focused housing association in West London looking for a dedicated Asset/Repairs Manager to oversee our asset management and repairs function. This temporary role requires a hands-on professional who is comfortable working both strategically and operationally, including administrative tasks to address the nitty-gritty details of our operations.
Day-to-day of the role:
Manage and oversee the asset management function, ensuring all properties are maintained to high standards.
Coordinate repair works, from obtaining quotes to overseeing completion.
Handle the management of void properties, preparing them for new tenants efficiently.
Organise and manage stock condition surveys, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis.
Work collaboratively with the compliance team, contributing knowledge that may assist in their operations.
Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including contractors, tenants, and team members.
Perform operational administrative tasks to support the smooth running of the asset management and repairs function.Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in asset management and/or repairs within a housing association or similar environment.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively with team members and external parties.
Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
Experience in obtaining quotes, managing contractors, and overseeing property maintenance.
Knowledge of compliance in the housing sector is beneficial but not essential.Benefits:
