As the Senior Commercial Category Manager you will take full ownership of a high-value product portfolio, develop commercial strategies, and drive significant revenue growth. This is a senior leadership role, focused on maximising profitability, optimising product performance, and delivering market-leading category strategies—not procurement or buying.
The Role
As Senior Commercial Category Manager, you will be responsible for setting and executing category vision, working closely with C-suite stakeholders to influence business direction. You will lead commercial strategy, pricing, and product lifecycle management, ensuring that our portfolio achieves both revenue and market share objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Own and develop the commercial category strategy, driving revenue, margin growth, and profitability
* Lead and manage high-value product portfolios, optimising pricing, positioning, and sales strategy.
* Drive category performance through data-driven insights, identifying market trends and opportunities
* Partner with sales, marketing, and finance teams to develop go-to-market strategies and growth initiatives
* Influence senior stakeholders and board-level executives, providing strategic recommendations for category expansion
* Lead cross-functional collaboration, ensuring alignment between product, sales, and customer strategy.
* Manage supplier and partner relationships to enhance category performance
* Accountable for KPIs that directly influence financial performance. These KPIs will be aligned to the business objectives.
About You
1. Proven experience in a senior-level category management or commercial leadership role.
2. A track record of delivering revenue growth, margin improvement, and strategic category success.
3. Strong understanding of P&L ownership, product lifecycle management, and commercial strategy.
4. Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into actionable business strategies.
5. Exceptional stakeholder management and leadership skills, capable of influencing at C-suite level.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment.
7. Experience in security solutions, rental businesses with a construction focus is highly desirable.
