Job Title: Governance and Compliance Manager

Job Type: Full-Time Permanent

Location: Farringdon, London

Salary: £64,817 - £68,228

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Governance and Compliance Manager to join our team. This role involves deputising for the Head of Governance and Compliance and supporting the provision of robust corporate governance, compliance, and legal assurance services. The successful candidate will ensure that MTVH operates within its Rules, constitutional documents, and regulatory and legislative obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Head of Governance and Compliance in providing comprehensive corporate governance, compliance, and legal assurance services.
Ensure the Group?s legal obligations around Companies House and FCA reporting are completed and support Group restructures.
Line manages the Company Secretarial Assistant, including day-to-day management, training, and development.
Provide governance and compliance advice and guidance to the board, the executive, and colleagues.
Service the Audit & Risk Committee (ARC) and manage the internal audit programme.
Service other Board Committees as required, including the Treasury Committee, Evolution (SPV), and the MTVH Foundation.
Provide assurance to the Executive, ARC, and Board that risk is managed at a strategic and operational level.
Draft, review, and update corporate and governance policies and procedures.
Oversee compliance with legal and regulatory obligations to ensure compliance reporting deadlines are met.

Ability to analyse problems, propose solutions, and develop improvements.
Ability to identify and meet team goals and deliver objectives and plans to budget.
Self-motivated with excellent planning and organisational skills.
Ability to work cooperatively within and across teams and with external partners.
Ability to deliver to deadlines.
Skills / Experience / Knowledge:

Degree level education and Chartered Governance Institute or legal qualification.
Substantial experience in governance and compliance within a large, regulated sector organisation (preferably social housing).
Experience of servicing Board or Committee meetings and strong skills in taking detailed and accurate committee minutes.
Excellent IT skills and comfortable with standard office IT packages and electronic portals.
Ability to undertake management responsibilities.
Experience of delivering services to a very high standard.
