EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a Design Engineer to join a precision engineering company located in Northamptonshire working on a permanent basis.

Role & Responsibilities:

*

Design and develop high-performance powertrain components

*

Oversee engine manufacturing and assembly processes

*

Utilise CAD tools for modelling and technical drawings

*

Conduct structural analysis on components to ensure reliability

*

Collaborate with customers, teams, and stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions

*

Apply problem-solving skills to optimise engine performance

*

Work under tight deadlines while maintaining a structured and analytical approach

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

*

Minimum 3 years post-graduate experience in Engine Design

*

Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering

*

Strong knowledge of Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) / Hybrid or Electric Powertrain

*

Proven experience in designing major engine components

*

In-depth knowledge of engine design, manufacturing, and assembly

*

High competence in CAD modelling & drawing (preferably CATIA 5)

*

Proficiency in component structural analysis

*

Experience in strategic customer liaison
